NHS West Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group (WSCCG) is responsible for buying-in and managing most community NHS and hospital services for the approximate 257,000 population of the area, including mental health, emergency care, rehabilitation and learning disability services, as well as supporting the area’s 24 GP practices.
WSCCG has formed a strong alliance partnership with partners including the county council, Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, the Suffolk GP Federation and community health. Together we are committed to helping create an integrated health and care system aimed at keeping the west Suffolk community well and enable local people to live independently with a good quality of life for as long as possible. More widely, WSCCG works very closely with neighbouring clinical commissioning groups in east Suffolk and north east Essex as part of an Integrated Care System, improving efficiencies, finances and quality of services.
The Governing Body of the CCG includes local GPs as well as lay members with responsibility for patient and public involvement and corporate governance.
